I have taken on the radio stream to help Jake manage his bandwidth and to relive him of some stuff so he can get back to doing what in the end makes this all possible.. What my initial strategy will be is to make sure the music from our members gets the opportunity to be heard, so to make it fair for everybody and untill we get enough reliable/able dj's to fill specific time slots on a regular basis i am going to use the music already posted by members on the site.. and i will just fill out a random playlist to keep the stream up and running.. If you wish to not have any of the music available on the site aired over the radio please let me know and i will remove the mix from the rotation.. I am going to be somewhat selective to maintain the quality of the mixes to make sure people who tune in will remain tuned in and hopefully return to the site..
What i expect from you to make this work for all parties involved will be the following:
1)listen to your mix and ask yourself would i listen to this? (obviously if you mixed it its music you like but be your own critic)
2)Respect the artist who made the music and make the playlist available (if you have music you dont want people to know what it is for what ever reason i will except ID - ID as the title and artist but take the time and show some respect for the artists, its the right thing to do)
3)make sure the tags are correct.. If you want something specific in the tag i.e your name and the title make sure its in there and if you dont know how let me know what you want it to say and i'll fix it for you but i'm not psychic so you will have to e-mail me the info..
We are all learning as we go as to what works and what doesn't, and i understand everyone has their own veiws and oppinions as to what is good so i am open for suggestions and oppinions (good or bad) and i encourage you all to speak your mind.. Lets take this to the next level, Jake and Jay have started something that will only be what WE make of it.. and so far i belive jake has listened and responded with pretty much every request we have thrown his way (some taking longer than others but they still get done..lol)
